“If you build it, they will come.”
And come they did!
Founded in 1993 by Dr. Susan Mack and Dr. Michelle Corr, Thunderbird Veterinary Hospital has been a pillar of compassionate care since its inception. Both accomplished veterinarians, Dr. Mack, and Dr. Corr, graduates of OSU in 1987 and former classmates, shared a vision of creating a mixed animal practice in the Little Axe community near Lake Thunderbird.
Beginning with just two veterinarians and one veterinary technician in 1993, Thunderbird Veterinary Hospital has flourished over the years. In 2021, the team expanded with the addition of Dr. Samantha Coppedge in January and Dr. Nicole M. Irizarry Larriuz in June.
Although both Drs. Mack and Corr have retired, their impact resonates in the foundation of exceptional care and community involvement that defines our practice. As Thunderbird Veterinary bids adieu to these incredible professionals, we warmly welcome the future with gratitude for the countless lives they’ve touched and the enduring legacy they leave behind.
